At Least 6 Eggs

Post by GilbertandSully » Fri Jul 06, 2018 1:12 am

At last viewing there were six eggs in there. They’ve kinda blocked the door and I never get the chance to look anymore. .

My concern is if these hatch how can so many little ones fit I. That nest. Do I need to create some bigger idea or an open nest or something?

Obviously, I will not be participating in the hatching, feeding and raising process because there’s no way I’m gonna be disturbing them that much and I think they have been so perfect with this process so far.

However, is there something I can do for size of nest??

GilbertandSully I think it will be fine honestly they are sociable birds that enjoy usually sitting tightly with their chicks till they fledge also if it’s their first breed I highly doubt all six eggs will hatch in saying most likely three will

Okay. Thank you so much. I was able to take a photo today when they were out. Prehaps a 7 th egg. For the eggs that don’t hatch do I have to eventually take them out or will they push them out?

I had them only 26 days before the first eggs appeared. But they are lovely. I can understand their chicks. And speak very softly and sweetly when the are both out of the nest. Dry great little birdies.

It's gonna be fine. Leave them but they might be stuffing too much nesting material in the nest.
Have a nice day!
