I think I see a third one now. When mom was out of the nest and dad was I. The nest I could hear the babies chirping. I’m assuming it was them otherwise daddy was talking really quietly.

After all my fuss I can now distinguish very clearly 2. And they are doing great. So proud of these first time parents. Such a wonderful family. I now leave to cage door open 24/7 as papa is often sleeping outside on a table. Ha ha ha No room in the nest I guess.

Yup. So then I’ll have to reposition stuff. Should I put the nest down near the floor so they can climb in and out easier? I know I’ve seen fledging cages which are longer instead of higher but I’d rather work with what I have and I can put perches and nest near bottom. I know mom and dad won’t care.

If you bought egg food for pet birds, it is fed dry right from the container. Just put a little in a treat cup or small cup for them. It can be mixed with shredded hard boiled egg, but you have to remember to take that out in about two hours so it won't spoil. The dry food can stay in.

Thanks. Got the egg mix all sorted out. Just before I bought it I was under the impression it was some kind of wet mix. Lol

First out of the nest. Mom is white dad is normal Zebra. Baby has a light grey chest but I’m sure there’s lots of colour development to come.
