Question???
Can a male canary fertilize the eggs of a female zebra finch? I have these two types in the same cage and the zebra just laid 3 eggs last night and is sitting on them? Is there an actual chick forming in the egg or is it not possible? I just got the zebra about 2-3 weeks ago. Please give me some advice! Thanks, Kari

It's highly unlikely a canary would mate with a Zebra. I have never heard of it anyway. Finches are just like chickens in that the hens lay eggs even if there's no male around.
