Hi fellows

Thank for all your posts. I bring today this new updated photo of my two society’s babies. As you can see they have been raising a lot. I think they are near to go out of the nest for exploration. Enjoy the pictures.

Great photos of your new little societies! I see you have the same type of nest box that I have....do you feel it works well for your birds?

Yes it's working very well. Well these boxes have their trick. When I started to use this kind of boxes I have a failed clutch so I made some modifications in the box ^_^

As you can see I add a……… mmmm…. my oh my, I don’t know how to call to that thing in English hahahhaha. Well in the bottom of the box is a mini nest made of a rope in a way to keep the eggs in their place and help with the heat. In my opinion this box has lots of pros:

1.* It’s easy to clean, disinfect and reuse after each clutch.

2.* It’s easy to check the eggs and chicks without so much stress to mom and dad. You are in control of the situation all the time and you keep your hands out of the cage.

3.* You don’t have to sacrifice flight space inside your cage because the box is outside.

4.* Because it’s dark and close inside this give to your birds a nice and private environment so they are more confident to nest there.

What kind do you use?

Well that's a very nice little nest inside the nestbox to keep all the eggs together! I like that but don't you worry about their little claws getting caught in it?
