Has anyone ordered from thefinchfarm.com? I have not a lot of options left for looking for a replacement female Zebra finch for my male to have a friend. He is really lonely so i might buy a female pied from them. Has anyone ever bought from them? And if so have the birds been in good shape. Thanks. I plan on buying just 1 Zebra from them. Which the grand total will be $68. Its worth it.

Wow, that is a lot for a zebra. I know several members got finches from them. I think there is a post on finchaholics, on FB, about them. If you do a search here, you may find the posts that were listed last year about the finchfarm. As my memory is not the best, I can't say for sure, but I think the responses were positive.

I ordered a pair of blue gouldians recently from them. picked them up from the airport in excellent shape. I would order from them again.

I have ordered from them and the birds arrived in good shape but the shipping kills you. Can't you find a zebra hen at a local pet shop or on craigslist?

Many Petsmarts often have them, although they are more likely to have society finches and canaries, if they have anything besides budgies.

What part of Indiana are you in?

I also might be able to dig up contact information for a canary breeder who has had zebras at our bird fairs before. If you can wait until November, and make it to the next bird fair in Greenfield, there are sure to be zebras there.

But as far as Finchfarm goes, I have heard good things, and I was going to order from them myself at one time, but then I found what I wanted locally. (Star finch)
