Yeah I saw that while surfing for canaries and I too thought it was odd. I do not have room for 40 birds.....LOL

Skokie is a good 45 minutes away though...iwould think stress on the birds.poorbabys!

That is not far away at all as far as stress on the birds. They are routinely carried that far or even much farther for marts. As long as it is done right, you can minimize the stress on the birds.
This person says in their ad they are selling out all their birds, and from the other ads, they seem to have quite a few Zebras, Lovebirds, and Parrotlets. That photo of the Javas does appear to be a very crowded cage, and the buy 20, get 20 free tells you that they have a LOT of birds. Could be a person who just got in over their head, or could be someone who genuinely just needs to get rid of all their birds. Doubtful it is a broker, brokers have lots more species. If in that area, it might be worth checking out, if you are interested in Javas.
