Pet Carrier for Airflight shipping

Deborah, is this to ship finches? Wouldn't the side holes and grating in front be too large, allowing them to escape?

I forgot to mention, the front grate is covered with a thin material, so the finches can't get out. The other holes can be covered with a transparent/breathable material, so the airline staff can view the live cargo.

This is a thread I posted about a pet carrier that was converted to a shipping box by kcdozy. He shipped some Owl finches to me from San Diego, and this worked very well.
