Finch Breeder Database

We've had a lot of new people signing up to the forum lately.

Thought I'd share the link for the Finch Breeder Database. It's been an invaluable tool for me in keeping track of all my birds. It's free to join and the site lets you keep track of every possible thing you can imagine pertaining to your birds. You can keep track of genetics, family tree, health issues, birthdate, fledge date, banding, where you currently have them homed, where you acquired the bird, each pair, clutch results, etc. You can even store pics of your birds right on the site. It's really great - if you haven't already, check it out!

Plus, you can create these cool signatures with your little bird icons in it! (Lol, when I first joined, I always wanted one of them but never knew how people did it)

Lol, Dante..... YOU are the one who told me about that site and I was so glad you did. I never would have known it existed otherwise. I always think about that when I think about new members - that they probably would love it if they knew of it also.

Yes, one of our members - Ikhom, created that wonderful database and enabled the birdies for the signatures.

It is great! He even updates species and icons of muations on request! I think every fincher, or any bird keeper should use this!

Thanks everybody. Lately, I'm very busy at work and haven't had much time to do any improvements, but to add some icons from time to time. Lisa, I added Orange Weaver and some other missing icons.

Sally, it took over two years of hard work and many, many hours. If I'd known how much time it would take, I think I would never have started this project in the first place. But with support from some members and help from others it became possible.

It wasn't loading at all for me last night but now it's working fine!
