We all like to seek the experiences of others when dealing with a vendor for the first time. It can help us decide whether to do business with that person. Members are welcome to post on the forum asking for recommendations or referrals, but all negative replies should be in the form of a private message. Please refrain from making negative comments in public posts on the forum about specific individuals/breeders/brokers/vendors/businesses. General discussions are always welcome, of course.

We realize that members use referrals to good businesses to find where to buy birds and/or supplies. Our intent is not to stop positive comments. but negative comments should still be made by private message. Reputations can be at stake, and it is too easy to slander a business with no way for that business to offer an explanation or rebuttal.

When commenting on a vendor, it would also be helpful if members would state whether it is their own experience, that of a friend, or something they have heard or read on another forum.
