Java Sparrow website

Hi

Just wanted to let those who keep and breed Java sparrow the world over about my website focusing especially on my favourite species.

Please got to Just Javas - The Java Sparrow Zone! to check out my website.

Any suggestions on improvments are always welcomed, I want to make it the onyl place to visit to learn about the wonderful bird that is the Java!

Good going javasteve. Nice to see a website dedicated to javas. Not many people keep them on this forum, not sure why, but I really enjoy my pair.

I think one reason you don't see them as much in the USA is that they are illegal to keep in some states. They are regarded as a pest to agriculture in those states, and government worries about Javas escaping or being turned loose and then becoming a problem. I have not checked on whether they are allowed in Texas, but Texas has a huge rice-growing area around Houston, so they might not be. Everything I read about them is very appealing, though, so maybe someday...

Nice website. I saw some javas today in a local store. The "normal" type remind me of puffins, which are my favourite birds. Cute!
-owned by a little house sparrow and 2 owl finches :)

Sally there is a lady in Rio Vista that sells them. Had thought about getting some but I'm good with the birds I have.
