Hello All,
Long time finch and soft bill breeders should remember this bird vendor, Floyd Barnett. You can even find his pricelists in older issues of the NFSS periodical. I've met him at a couple Atlanta bird marts. He always has a huge selection and plenty of great bird conversation.

Floyd is about the only one that I will buy my birds from.
He is a very honest and respected person and is at all the bird fairs in Atlanta. I would highly recommend him.
That price list is a bit of though.....

Does Floyd ever make it down to FL at all? He has some great pricing on his birds, but I dont think I like the idea of shipping them though...

As far as I know, he stays locally around Atlanta. I do know that he ships and receives through the airlines. On a couple of occasions, I've received birds through the airlines without any problems. My experiences with Delta have been smooth.

Hmm...I may have to schedule a Georgia trip around an Atlanta bird mart and pack an extra travel cage

Guess we'll see about how that goes once a few gouldians color up a bit more

and pack an extra travel cage
that sounds like you are planning to only pack one extra cage, surely Bonnie you have learnt by now that a minimum of 4 or 5 is safer

I don't think he goes anywhere but the Atlanta bird shows.
That price list is not correct. I price his birds every month. They are more expensive than what he has listed there.
He does have birds brought in. That is how I got my strawberry hen. He went to Canada for it. (or his partner did)
Fortunately, I do not have to "buy" birds hardly anymore from him.
Now I just "trade" some of my youngsters when I want a new one.
He is getting in some Swees hopefully this month. Can't wait!!!
My husband is wanting a pair of his painted and so do I. Haven't had enough youngsters yet to trade for them.
