She's not genetically RH though... she's genetically BH.
Females can't be both RH and BH

She's just not genetically YH, that's all. :)

oops, I guess I shouldn't have said it that way... The word genetically was incorrect, as u (Tiffany) have told me more than what, a million times.....????
so, what u said, is correct... I'm wrong...shame on me for confusing anyone. One of these days I will learn the lingo.. lol
Heck, I'm still calling clutches, litters...

I knew what you meant (though I stay confused  )..... that even though she had a black head that all the young would be RH, if paired with a RH or YH male. All BH if paired with a BH male and if the male is split for head color well..... then you would get some of both. The term RTB helps clarify that :D
I think that is one of the most confusing things to breeders, when they breed a BH hen to a RH male they get all RH.... One would think that you would get some of each color....but it ain't that simple. I stay confused and thank goodness there is someone to straighten us out....and then there is always the genetic forcastor

I believe my male is considered a bronze wing according to Whinnie at Delmar Aviary.
