Sera mutation?.

Post by Aviario Vera » Mon Jul 19, 2010 7:26 pm

Goodnight

This item sponge here, I have discussed with judges from Spain and some companions of the rest of Europe.

In 2008, I was born a surprise Gould, classic red head, with a white patch under the beak. At first it seemed an aberration, I imagined that when change would remove the feathers, but did not, he has been reborn. I would also remove some feathers to see what color he was born, and always born white.

The problem arises when I look in the notes and look for the mother to match and so fix "the mutation" if it was, but discovered that the mother died. So I can only raise the possibility of a sister, just today, were born the first two chickens. We have great hope in them, having to leave.

I leave the link and if anyone knows any similar case, please let me know.

Thank you very much

Greetings Diego Vera

That's very cool. Are you thinking it's the beginning of a pied mutation in gouldians?

What ever happened with this bird?
I came back to this post to get the link to your website because we were discussing Australian Yellow on another forum.

This really strikes me as being a split to AY bird - which would be incredible since they assumed the AY line from Holland had all died out.
It would be amazing to think it's been retained and your bird is carrying it.

I would think if that is the case there would be line breeding or inbreeding involved.
Curious to see what has happened with the offspring?

This person only ever made the one posting back in July of last year. You might want to send them a PM or email if you can, Nixity. Or check via their website...?

Isn't this one of Juan Farrat's breeding? If this is a differnet bird from a different breeder it looks like the one Juan bred. He also breeds those awesome Blue Headed Dilutes :D

There are members of this club
http://www.sngn.nl/
that have bred the same normal red head that has had the white spot under the chin. One is pictured on the skynet site by Piet Claessen.

Here is one of Piet's BH pieds

I will try and find the pic of another one that I don't remember the breeders name at the moment but have it written in my notes...somewhere
