********UPDATE ON THE BABIES!!**********
So i just checked on the three chicks, their crops are pretty full and they were peeping away! Baby#1 is now named Gus because i had a dream last night that i named he/she Gus. it is a sign!! i may have a boy
Baby#2 and three are about the same size but baby #2 is the smallest bit bigger! baby#1 is the biggest obviously due to the fact that he was born first!
Gus is now about the size of a quarter haha!
also the chicks are pretty dark on top:) so we are having normal babies! and Gus has these
TINY little feathers on his wings! they look like hairs!! it is so freaking adorable! and they all are so fluffy!!!

*********UPDATE**********
The oldest baby is i think 7 days old now! he is doubled in size in the past two days, their crops are always amazingly full and they are getting so big!!!
____________________
so when do they start to feather in? around how many days is it? 1 week? 2 weeks?
_____
Aside from that, Mom and Dad are doing great at keeping the chicks healthy. they are both enjoying the egg food more then their own seeds!! and that is great because the babies are getting soft food rather then hard seeds, good for digestion!
Overall none of the babies have fallen out of the nest(knock on wood) and none have randomly died. so i am very happy! they all have normal feet(our last clutch had a baby with a backwards foot because the nest was to small and we did not expect babies, his name was Gimpy)
______________________________
The peeping in baby #1 (and now what seems like baby #2) are turning into a hissing rather then a peep. which will eventually evolve into a screaming for food eventually. they actually just stopped begging for food right when i typed that haha.
*(******
So thats it, the three babies are doing great! i need names for baby #2 and 3 because baby #1 is Gus. if anyone wants to give me some name ideas!!

Congrats on your chicks. I love the bad hair day looks they get at that stage. Yours should be starting to get proper feathers in now, I guess.

baby #1 and 2 have fairly long pin feathers and baby #1 has feather tips sticking out of the ends
Baby #3 has very small pin feathers sticking out of his little wings

their crops are full at all times and they are getting BIG both fat and long!! the oldest is 9 days old today!!(if i said 7 yesterday i meant 8, Gus was born on the 5th)
So yaaay!!!! he is almost two weeks old!
it is so weird how fast they grow! all three have eye slits so their eyes did open at one point they just like to keep them mostly closed
Just a quick update, i will not be here for the next few days.

Here are some pictures of the three chicks! baby#3 still is very small compared to the other two, but he was also born last. so i am gonna stick to that. is it possible for them to have air in their crops? or would you think that is just water???
So here is a picture of baby #1 to show how big he got in comparison to his first and third day of life. he is now 10 days old i think? sorry it is a bit blurry though.

These are all of the chicks in my hand, baby #1 is on the right side and baby #2 on the left. baby#3 is on the top of my hand. So do they all look healthy??

Baby #3 over on my fingertips baby #2 closest and baby#1 on the back of baby #2 haha.
Here are face pics but they did not pose

They look cute and healthy. Are you going to close band them now? They're the right age.
