so she does appear to be pied...can you tell from pictures if they are rccb or bccb?? and male and female?? She said they weren't rccb, however on another thread I got the impression the pied hasnt occured in bccb. She's wanting to breed them for first time soon.

No red cheek patch on the male - I'd go with BCCB's.

The male is definitely BCCB. The hen looks like BCCB, but the pied makes it harder to see the color pattern. BCCB hens will have some blue on top of the head, but RCCB hens won't have any, as a rule. There has been so much crossbreeding between the two species, there is always the chance the hen is a BCCB/RCCB cross. If she is a hybrid, and she has any male offspring, chances are they will show a bit of red cheek patch.

Beautiful! Nearly all the pied Cordon's in Australia are RCCB's. Hopefully she will get some pied chicks. :)
