Gary, you're right, light pink skin should be the sign of blue chick, but the parents aren't blue or split to blue, so it must be something else, right?
@purplejasminevn: yes I can get strawberries easily here, with a fairly cheap price too, some of my friends are breeding them and they've been doing that very well, I love their song!
Speaking of the pintail parrot finch, everybody keeps asking me about them, I know they're in Vietnam according to many documents, problem is, I never see them anywhere, and I've been to pretty much every jungle in the South of this country. Well, I'm trying to get a pair too, so we'll see, I'll keep looking.

@nixity: it's fun that you mentioned about pied bird, the daddy of this clutch always has a tiny patch of white feather on his face, that patch never goes away, even when he's been through several adult molts. We can't tell anything for sure by now, but I'll keep an eye on this little chick, closely.
