Pieds, Penguins or a combo of the two

Post by love4finches » Sun Nov 11, 2012 6:45 pm

Female: One teardrop on one side.
Male: Cheek patches hardly there and no teardrops.

I thought they were pieds when I first got them. Then wondered if part Penguin. They seem to be a mix of something. No interest in each other and thought I'd repair them.

What are they and what would you pair them up with? I know the pics are horrible but these are the best out of about 50. I can't get better pics. Sorry. I'd be happy with just guesses at this point:

Look like pieds to me. Penguins have a frosted tail and once they get mixed with pied aren't really penguins anymore. I say pair them with each other for more pied

I agree with Dante...all pied. They have a good amount of pied so would be interesting paired together.

No penguins, just pieds....penguins do not have tear drops, one of them had a partial tear.

Thanks all. Having no power until last night last left my brain like mush. These two really hate each other so I now know that I can split them to other pieds.

Ok, I will try separating for a few days. Thanks so much for the suggestion. And thank you to all that answered my question. Maybe after a week of sleep it will all come back to me.
