Hi Brenda. If you have seen the pied societies than the pied zebbies are similar. The ones I have seen are white with brown patches. They look really cute. There is a lady here in town that raises them. Look them up on the internet on google.

Brenda
Here are some pics of my Society's, chocolate pied and fawn pied. Zebras are similar, but look a little different. Hopefully, someone with pie zebs will post. I am also posting a pic of my RTPF (Red Throat Parrot Finch )Pied male and my SGPF (Sea Green Parrot Finch) pied female so you can see a different species with the pied gene.

this article is in regards to pied and split to pied zebras... http://www.efinch.com/species/piedzeb.htm

Pied is a recessive gene, it is like an eraser to color when added to the mutation mix. Pieds can be anywhere from small patches of white to an all white pied as a result of generations of pied being added. Split to pied is when you have white wing edges, white on the top of the head or under the chin...likely a result of inheriting the pied gene from one not both of the parents. In zebras all white pieds are often confused with another mutation, Whites.

Cindy is the expert on zebras. As Cindy said, while the zebras the pied gene is recessive, in Society's the pied gene is dominant, which is different than the zebras. Each species seems to show a little different expression of the pied gene, but they all have the color effected.
