Cream Ino Societies

Post by Jenholt » Sat Feb 20, 2010 6:05 pm

Perhaps someone can help me out here..

I bought a number of societies abt 2 months ago. Included was a cream ino male, who had been mated with a fawn & white pied female and came with a nest with little babies :)
They have all done well, and I've been researching inos.
Not sure why the lady paired him with a pied... seems a chocolate would have been better, and next time around that is what I plan to do..

Here is the interesting part..
Of the 5 babies
3 are almost white (slightly creamy :) ) with the dark red eyes- these from what I've read are females.

1 is a beautiful dark chocolate - male, again from what I've read..

and the last is a pale fawn colour. This one has me a bit stumped.. did the fawn come from the female and get diluted ? or ? ?

Gotta love genetics! :)

And ideas/thoughts appreciated :)

Could the male be split for fawn? I don't know how the cream ino genes work but that would be my guess.

Please post pics of them if you haven't already we'd love to see them!
