You cannot create a Orange breasted bird.
The bird have to be split or full OB and pair
the bird with another split or full OB.
The OB and BB is Recessive.

To get a Phaeo you will need a BB and FF or
BB and Isabel.
But both the parents have to be BB or BB + split.

Here are my BB birds.

Ah, Almos. :D What a pretty bird. I will try to get a FF or Isabel, I can get my hands on BB anytime. Looks like I'm going for a phaeo! Thank you Elma, and I'm sure Cindy will be staring at the screen drooling when she sees the pictures!

One question, would the male or female have to be the isabel/florida fancy? And what about a BB with a florida silver?

Dante...I gave you this calculation/estimate of possibilites back on page 1....

Provided the male is full BB and the female is isabel
you will get 100% normal/BB Isabel

Provided you male is full and your female is a FS

50% Silver (SF) /Black breasted Isabel
50% Normal/Black breasted Isabel
(I am guessing your female has Isabel in her)

if the male is split and you use your FS
25% Silver (SF) /Black breasted Isabel
25% Normal/Black breasted Isabel
25% Silver (SF) /Isabel
25% Normal/Isabel

No drooling just a deep sigh in admiration, Elma your birds are exceptional!!!

Well The Idea of the creation of the Phaeo,
was to create a beautiful whitish bird with a lot of orange color.
Because Both FF and Isabel mutation reduces the
black color.
when you combine the BB mutation with FF
you will get a bird mostly white with orange color.

And I am not sure how SFFF will look like
if you combine it with BB.
I think SFFF also tries to reduce the black color,
thats why the bird is all "silver" in color,
maybe you will have a silver looking bird with
lot of orange?
I think you just have to try

Right now I have a pair of splits set up Mr. Orange eyebrow has chicks :) and fawn split to BB or BB waiting to color out....as well as isabels. It is a slow process but worth it.

Dante, according to the estimate you will get splits with a SFFS and a BB. If you are going to get BB why don't you get a pair of BB or split to BB or one BB and a split to BB.
