Oh look! its the whole darn family!! Lux had been plucking the babies backs, he has since stopped. These pics were taken a few minutes ago
If you need me to crop or zoom on the pictures please request it rather then straining your eyes
anyway, here are pics of mom, dad and babies!
Gus and Tahny are the non Drill head babies and Lux and lolita are in the pic
Gus looking at cam, and drill heads. Lux and Lolita
Lux is the clearest in the pic, Seed shell on face

Re: Odd cheek patches?
yebb they sure look like normals.
Nothing I can see that indicates bb.
but you can see it if bird is split bb.
it can be all this
or only one of this:
thin tear mark, larger cheeks than normal
like over the eye brow or longer cheeks,
long spots on the flank area,
orange lacings in the wings,
white area under the beak,
hourglass shaped tail bars.

Re: Odd cheek patches?
oh, so they could just be normals with thin tears? only one baby has a normal tear mark as far as i can see, the other two have thin ones.

Re: Odd cheek patches?
i just found the Efinch thing for black breast again, and found a picture of a black breast fledgling. is it possible that the chicks are split? Falcon does have a sort of buff cheek. you can't really see it in the pictures that well but he does!! its not super prominent like the one on the efinch website but the cheek is lighter then his face. that is what i meant by "odd cheek patches" along with the shape of it.
