As a clarification...if he is split to pied he will not pass on the gene to ALL his offspring. By definition, since he is split he will only pass the pied gene on 1/2 of his offspring.

Lori is right thank you, I retract the statement of a split passing it to all, it is half.....the offspring will be if you paired a split to a normal non split.
50% normal
50% noraml split to pied
(not all splits show the split to pied trait in the wing edges, head and throat, some can show just some of those signs)
If you paired a full pied to a normal you would get
100% Normal/Pied
and of course pied to pied
100% pied
pied to a split to pied
50% Normal/Pied
50% Pied
