They are 4 or 5 days old...
Hi every one!
I'm back from a trip to San Francisco, California for holidays (it was really nice! :D ) and I was happy to find two new chicks in the nest of my "violet boy"!!!
I've match him with a yellow hen who is the VDM1a's daughter...

"Lavander" is a great father, even he is very young!!!

The mother...her molt is not finished on this picture...her mother(the grandmother VDM1a) was quite sea green or opaline(?)

Nevermind on the silver unless both parents are split to WB

Hi! Yes Meagan, new pictures!!!

But first, I have to say that my "Blue-violet pastel gouldian is still very young (nine months) and his skills as father will have to improve... #-o the little yellow chick died(not well fed) :( but I gave some help to his pastel blue (or silver brother) with the feeding job...
After feeding time...I'm not so bad as new replacement mother!!!
After feeding time...I'm not so bad as new replacement mother!!!
His parents just stopped feed him...and I had quit for a fishing trip with my sons so I'have decided to transfer my little guy in and other nest...
His "new parents" are: the sister hen of his mother(a pastel hen) and an unrelated pastel cock who have five new hatched baby(one yellow, one pastel and three normal green).
New brothers and sisters!!!
New brothers and sisters!!!
It seem that they didn't count when feeding time  and "adopt" the poor hungry bird...
It was his first day with his new family (6th of august)

It will be probably difficult to see the color of eyes...slightly reddish for the yellow one...
