I has extremely lucky with the very first nest but Nest 2 - Was the complete opposite! This time round 3 young fledged and as follows
2 Fawn hen/pied
1. normal cock/fawn and pied.
Here are the two fawn hens at about 9 weeks of age. Unable to get a photo of the young cock bird as he is too flighty.
Stay tuned! Nest 3 is only days away from emerging from the nest. Lots of begging going on - so might have another 3 birds to add to my collection.
This has been a very good breeding pair and all 6 young are getting along well
nest 1.
2 heavy pied normal cocks
1 fawn pied hen
Nest 2,
2 Fawn hen/pied
1. normal cock/fawn and pied.
