Zebra Finch Genetics?

So my normal male and light back female produced 4 chicks which have recently fledged. I have two silverly, diluted chicks and two normal gray chicks. Will the normals be females and the silver/diluted ones be males? What would I get if I bred a CFW hen to a Lightback male? I know they both carry close to the same kind of gene. Thanks everyone?

all babies are supposed to be normal grey. males will be split Light back.
and if by any means u got a light back baby then for sure ur male is split light back.
CFW female with a light back male will give u:
light back males / CFW
light back females

He must be because two of the babies are totally different than the two normal babies! They are so much more diluted, and there beaks are not black but more of a pearl gray color.
Is a light back and cfw a good combination?

I have LB male split for CFW, paired with my CFW female.
And they have two chicks (fledglings) and I think they are both LB.
LB males/split for CFW are lighter than "Pure" lightbacks.
you can see it here on
