Lilac breast?

Hey guys I was just curious on your insight on what I have. I'm pretty sure I know, but I would like to see what you guys think.
Here is a pic of a few males I don't believe I have a "true" purple breast, I *think* i have 2 lilac breast males although one is lighter than the other, and then obviously 2 white breast males.
Now I know females are supposed to be lighter and I know what a normal female looks like. But again I *think* I 2 lilac breast females, and I'm pretty sure the other 2 are regular purple breast. Am I right?
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I'd say you definetly have two lilac breasted males. Very beautiful. You can bring one over when you pass by, lol!! The hens are hard for me to tell, someone with more experience will need to help you out. You have some nice looking Gouldians

I think LB's are harder to find - at least around me. And as for my being an expert - ummm no. I only have one LB that is a male and I only found out by fluke through this forum. I thought he was a PB.
I know two of your hens are much lighter than the other two and there's a good possibility that they are LB's.
How does one know 100% that they are LB? I just don't know.

Can anyone answer that for a female Gouldian?

Here is a post a few months back discussing LB hens. It is best to know the backgrounds of your birds to be 100% sure but lacking that information then it is hard to really tell on hens. Some hens are barely pink while others have a rich lilac color. In the following post I have a line of lilacs that if I didn't have the sister who is a purple/lilac most would think she is a purple breast.... on the other hand I have many known purple breast that have a very washed out purple breast. A lot depends on the genetics and the quality of the colors of that line.
My guess is that you have lilac green breast hens and lilac breasted males... the yellow hen is a purple breast. If you bred them together and got lilac breast males then they are either split fo lilac or lilac. Sometimes the lilac color doeasn't pick up well on camera either so that makes it even harder to tell.

I think your BH with the visible yellow band is likely lilac but I feel the other three pictured are PB.
The one RH male is a definite lilac, but the other looks more like a dirty/washed WB to me - will probably molt out next time, but who knows

On my comments and pics...in the 5th picture of the 4 hens. The 2 on the top perch look identical but one is lilac breast the other purple breast. The hen on the lower level facing the camera is the sister to the lilac breast and is obviously puple breast. All the males were lilac breast from this pairing. The parents were lilac breast crossed with split to lilac breast.
Sometimes id you do not have the background genetics it is hard to tell in some colors of mutations. I find the Black head , green backs are the trickiest. Is it possible to get the records from the breeder? You may never know for certain.

Hmm. I can't get the background on her genetics. So, I guess I'll just have to breed her to help find out. If you click the picture to make it bigger you can see shes definelty in breeding condition. If only I had a good black headed male to pair her with. I will tomorrow! I'll tell her to stay in good condition for a month while their in quarantine.
