I guess this could be on the breeding page, but because I am going for a specific mutation, I am posting here. I had a thread on here before too. To try to recap, we bred our societies two years ago and got two ino females. Their dad died, and we want to get more inos. Things did not go totally as planned, as we wanted to breed Calypso and Swan (we took Pearl out of the breeder cage because we did not want 18 babies) with our two new males. My two ladies were not impressed with their new suitors, and they weren't having it. Then, Pearl did nothing but sit on the floor of the other cage that we put her in for days. So, we put her back. She as it turns out liked the non-crested male, and we have 4-5 babies due any second now. We are hoping so badly that this male is a carrier. Fingers crossed. [-o<

Fingers crossed. :D I love these birds :D
I bred my Ino with a fawn and white (all I had at the moment) they had 3 fawn and white babies/inos. I put the males in one cage from this clutch and other clutches and the females in another cage. I did give them roosting nest. I must have overlooked a hen in the males...because I have a new Ino. I am sure it is from one of the /ino boys but who's it's Momma :?:
You know if I had been trying to breed them and had them paired in their own cage like I normally do, this would of taken forever to happen. Anyway, I have my red eyed girl set up with a chocolate boy in their own cage so hope to get some more splits to carry on with :D
