What Mutation Is This? Zebra Finch

Post by ChocoboDragon » Tue Aug 28, 2007 9:06 am

She looks like a fawn but she has some white on her wings. Her sister just looks like a pure fawn.

Would it be right to say she is a pied fawn? Is there such thing? (like I've said in my other posts, I'm not too good with mutations)

Here's a photo of her:

Thanks. :)

Looks like a pied fawn. If they carry 2 pied genes they are pied reguardless of how many or how few white feathers they have. In fact most of the whites zebras in America are a pied white, meaning they have the same mutation as pied zebras but they where selectively breed to have less and less grey over the years, ending up with none.
