hi everyone,
im kind of confused about what point gouldians color up, i read on some websites its at 3 months and some say 6 months and some even say 1 year or longer. in your experiences how long has it taken for your babies to color up and was it dependent on any factors?
thanks

It depends on the nutrition, temperatures, humidity, stress and I'm sure some genetics. Unless they were overly stressed and become stuck in molt they should color anytime in the first year, usually 3 to 6 months.

I have some that are finishing up their molt now. They hatched in April, so these will be 8 months. Some of the siblings were faster. I don't know why some are fast and other are slow to molt.

The more anxious you are, the longer it will seem to take.

that is very true, i will just relax and let things happen on their own.
