If not Seagreen, Opaline's Gouldian?

- Bluer back and wings, light yellow belly.
Hi!
Ok, I'm probably weird and really obsess by my little one's but why not?!?
I observe, paint and breed birds since many years and I was always fascinated by their colors, shape and behaviors.
Four years ago, I find a RH PB GB hen(VDM1a) who had really bluer back. I bought her and her father since the lady who sell it didn't want to keep him because he was old and very bad father...that was a RH/OH PB/WB SYF GB/BB cock(Opal)...He was great and two of his sons who was RH PB SF GB was really yellow with kind of bizarre bluer back (as Australian Yellow have...)
So, I took VDM1a and Opal and try to breed them...I got success with VDM1a but sorrily, Opal killed systematically all his young...I died shortly after.
Now, after four generations, I think(if I'm not crazy!

) I find some characteristics who seem to be passed to descendants...

So, what is Opaline Gouldian for me?
Candace inspired me this name because these birds have all colors of opaline gems...including orange and pink!!!

- Really deed colors!
The back and wings are really bluer but when you watch feather individually, you see complete palette of colors..really dark then orange-brown, green, blue and finally in some feathers purple or pink...the belly, contrarily to sea green, is light yellow, not as pale as sea green has... and contrarily to Seagreen and Noble Blue who tend to lost the blue color after molting, Opaline's gouldian keep their colors, molt after molt...
The posterior part of the neck is bright green to yellow or base of green feathers is orange-red...
Ok, now, stop talking and just watch photos...!

Other pictures...of pink ended feathers.
Feathers of all the back parts of these birds seem to be longer...the colored part and seem to be darker most of the time for non-yellow ones...

Beautiful birds!
I had to smile over the term of Opaline - like we use with the different Grasskeets. ;)
What about that baby in the picture that has a white head with dark black feathers? Australian Yellow?

That's not a baby...I named her "Mosaïque"(in french that's mean Pied)... That's maybe a pied hen or maybe an Australian Yellow carrier...I don't know... She had two young's with the cock on the same picture(VDM2b) that are SYF BB but who don't seem to be pied...
Do you think she can be Australian Yellow? I bought her at Quebec City, Canada...

I love all of your photos Isa

It's exciting to see someone working with such unique colored Goulds!
Your hen definitely looks pied from the photos!
I don't think she can be straight Australian Yellow because that mutation only exists with White Breast, she COULD, however, be split - because I believe it's the splits that show that white coloration on the face and the mottling throughout the body.
I can't remember what the inheritance is.. I thought it was autosomal recessive, but if birds can be split and show some degree of coloration maybe it's co-dominant?

All I can say is I wish we lived closer to each other.. would love to sit for a while and admired your birds in person!!!!
Opal is a beauty and is going to offer some great pedigree to your birds

Sorrily, I've lost "Opal SYF"...kind of a "panic attack" with "epileptics status" and shortly after, death...
In other point of view, the son of VDM3b has almost completed his molt and you know what...? I has violet feathers on his back!!! Some pictures to see...

Oh no... I am so sorry. It is a shame when things turn out not as we hope.

May Opal rest in peace.
That boy is looking great... what a beautiful color he has there. Wow!
