gouldian chick with a pink nose

I've just checked the nest this morning, got 4 gouldian chicks being feed well by the societies, but here's the strange thing: one of them has a lighter skin tone then the others, and its nose is pink.
I think by their age(more than 10 days old), the nose should turn black, and the skin should get darker as pin feathers appear..
What do you guys think? Is that some signs of disease? or it's just normal?
I found that strange, so I'll keep you posts and updates..

I wouldn't worry about it Hoang. Some are naturally lighter coloured and some are darker. They look wonderful!! =D>

In my limited experience, the pink skin is very likely a blue chick. At least it was for me.

Hey Hoang,
Good flock to start with. You should be able to get tons of Strawberries from Vietnam or around ????
I would love to get some pintails but they no longer allowed to be imported to the US.
Used to live in Saigon- Happy Tet -

It's a little strange - I normally don't see the pink beak except in yellow mutations but I've never seen one that's half pink half black like yours.

I'd wonder if maybe you might get a little pied?? :) I'd be interested to see how the baby turns out for sure.

thank you, Liz, I appreciate the fact that you did reply me on FB and then in this topic!! thank you thank you!!

Gary, you're right, light pink skin should be the sign of blue chick, but the parents aren't blue or split to blue, so it must be something else, right? :)

@purplejasminevn: yes I can get strawberries easily here, with a fairly cheap price too, some of my friends are breeding them and they've been doing that very well, I love their song!
Speaking of the pintail parrot finch, everybody keeps asking me about them, I know they're in Vietnam according to many documents, problem is, I never see them anywhere, and I've been to pretty much every jungle in the South of this country. Well, I'm trying to get a pair too, so we'll see, I'll keep looking.

@Paradise Aviary: thank you, I'll keep you posts for sure.

@nixity: it's fun that you mentioned about pied bird, the daddy of this clutch always has a tiny patch of white feather on his face, that patch never goes away, even when he's been through several adult molts. We can't tell anything for sure by now, but I'll keep an eye on this little chick, closely.
