Yes, I would say hen then. Or a BB hen, but I do not think he/she is BB. Also, it could be a juvie thing. Once he/she molts they will most likely be lost. Every bird is defferent, even normals. Like my hen, she is the only hen I have had with these cheek patches.

Seems like it to me, wait until they molt, they may lose the cheeks, or it could be the shape of their cheek patch if they are males

what do you think is odd about them?
look normal to me.
But the thin tear mark
indicates that the birds might be BB splits.

can you maybe post two more photos of the dad?
front and side..

I think she means the shape, and I was also looking at the tear. Also try getting pictures of the parents tail bars!

Here are pics of dad, i highly doubt that he is BB
here are as many GOOD pics of Lux as i can findImageImageImageImageImageImage
Sorry if there are repeat pictures.. he looks completely normal to me. how does the tear suggest bb?
he does have a pretty big cheek patch and a lot of flanks.. but they are not distorted at all by what i know..

Because with BB the cheeks are enlarged, the hens tears are reduced. Get a few photos of mom as ell, he doesn't look split to BB though

thats what i said, nothing of markings are distorted like a BB, mom looks normal to me also... could it be possible to have the great grand parents split to BB?? so that it is still in the genes but is not apparent at all?? just a thought.. here are pics of Lolita. she looks completely normal to me to.ImageImageImageImageImageImage
her belly is pretty buff, but she is a hen..
and again, no distortion of the tail feathers..Image

Remember that post about her wings? i thought she had some weird split or mutation? could the brown/ish be actually a very light orange lacing? i read that is a sign of a split to BB
here this one is really good. it shows the really buff on her back:Image
