Just out today At the moment three young on show. Split fawn Diamond Sparrow cock with Pied hen. First nest - One young Fawn and the other two normal. If cocks will be split to fawn.
Not sure on the Pied factor and as usual the normal type appear the healthier birds.

What pretty little chicks. I love diamond sparrows they are so beautiful.

What type of environment do you raise your Diamonds? With other Diamonds and/or species?

Thanks all. This lot is in with tri-colour parrot finches and blue caps. The parents of this young pied (see photo) was from their very first attempt at nesting. I was looking at him/her today and the white patch has increased in size.looks a nice bird. At the moment his parents have young in the nest. They should be out shortly.
