Most Colourful Clutch Ever

Post by desetoile » Wed Mar 07, 2012 1:02 pm

My two amazing gouldians - Blueberry BH/PB/BB x Cosmo YH/PB/dilute split to blue (a bird from Liz) who produced the amazing seven in the outdoor aviary a couple of years ago, have fledged the most colourful bunch I've had yet. Five babies, all big and healthy...
one GB
one dilute
one blue
one blue pastel
one SILVER
This is my first silver and even though I'm not too fond of them colour wise, it's still quite exhilarating to finally get one. In their last clutch I got (along with others) a lovely RH/PB/ YB split to blue hen.
These two birds are just the most amazing parents, producing lots of chicks and raising them with the utmost of care.
I am really so thrilled with the pair.

Congratulations!
Sounds like you've got a wonderful pair there and a great variety of colors produced. With that pair you know the silver will be a hen.
Best of luck

Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes. I'll try my best for photos tomorrow! They really are a gorgeous bunch.

And thanks Debbie, yes, I knew the silver was a hen. The only two I don't know are the blue and the green.

Yes.. please post pictures. I have a fledging that I have still not decided what color it is. I have never had a pastel so I think it may be one. It is just a color tha is confusing me. Please post pictures of your new babies! Congratulations on such a beautiful rainbow!!! =D>
