Pied zebras - colour?

I own two pied zebra hens.
When I got the first one, I thought she was fawn, because her body is champagne rather than grey, and her markings are not as dark as on the others (especially/mainly her tear marks). She also has a very yellow coloured belly (what little of it isn't white!).

But when I got the second pied girl, I got confused. She too looks rather brownish and it seems odd to me that both pies I've come across would both just happen to be fawn. I mean, what are the odds? They are the only two pies I've seen for sale in pet shops around here, they aren't common I don't think. To add, they are unrelated and from completely different lines. So now I'm wondering if the white spotting is playing tricks on me -are they really both fawn? The older girl looks more "fawnish" to me, the newer one is a smidge greyer, but both look different from my grey hen, and when next to her, it's clear their tail markings are lighter as well. What would you classify them as - fawn, grey or something else?

She looks possibly to be a gray fawn pied from what I see. With pied, especially heavy pied it is often hard to tell what the background is in the bird. Pied sort of erases the visual part of a birds actual genetic makeup especially in white pieds or very heavy pieds.

Ah, they are two different birds. Do you think both might be grey fawn then?
