I've been searching the internet to find out information on zebra finch mutation's....but i'm either not asking the right question's or not wording it right #-o

So my question is to breed a specific type of zebra how do you know what to pair together? for example if i wanted to breed grey cheek's do i put a white zebra and a Bc together or is their more to it?

Is there a website i can go to to learn more about breeding outcomes?

I know with the bird's i have now with the way their paired i'll end up with Bc/Bf babies and reg/lightback Bc's

I guess in all this rambling i'm wondering if there's a place i can learn what zebra finch is what (visually) kinda deal :D

I hope all that makes sence and thank's for any help to point me in the right direction!

but i'm curious for future breeding references that

To breed grey cheeks, you would have to get grey cheek zebras!

Can you post pictures of your chick's parents and What are the parents' mutations?

Efinch.com-it does not have breeding outcomes(i don't think at least) but it can help you clear up some mutation questions :)

Thanks Cindy!

Be some good reading for me tomorrow :D

Katie,

So far no chick's for me yet.But the finches i have now are 3 Bc zeb's and 1 Bf.I was curious to see how so many color's/mutation's were attained for future breeding (hopefully/depending) on how well i make out with these guy's :D

I still have so much to learn! but it'll be great when i walk into a Petstore or bird fair and be able to know what type the Zebra is in front of me 8)
