Genetic guide book?

I have a couple of BC that I have bred and looking to get an idea on what is going on "behind the scene". I have 2 BC males with chestnut flanks and one male BC with black flanks (grandson and son of the other 2). I have a CFW with BC and I want to get a new bloodline introduced. At the same time I want to keep the BC showing. I was hoping there was a guide to finch genetics someone would know about that I could get somewhere. Thanks!!!

I breed a pure BC male with a BC CFW female and they come out with full black cheeks.

What about the females? The ones I have, their cheek is about half the area of a full cheek. My males are full and one has black flanks. I want to get a CFW BC with black flanks as well. I have only seen a picture of one and I was hooked.
