When isabel is combined woth BB, it removes all the black of the bird... leaving the orange lace and orange head.

Fawn Isabel OB. Dante, their Isabels react to OB differently than our Isabels. Ours does this with BB.

Carlshave do you have BB in your stock?

So an American BB isabel looks like an English OB isabel?

These genetics are so confusing.

scroll down to European Isabel BB and the splits...

Carlshave does he have a breast bar or darker marking on the chest?

Dante, try this article...it explains some of the differences. http://www.efinch.com/species/ffxisabelzeb.htm

In Australia they do not have BB but have OB and Isabel...they get a result much like if we bred our FF to a BB. At first when I saw Australia's birds that looked like our FFBB I thought they must have BB but they do not...it is the combination of their Isabel and OB.

England has BB (I believe) his bird can be a split as well so it could be a Fawn Isabel OB/BB...it is hard to say since we can't see the front or back (tail) of the bird.

Carlshave is this an offspring of your birds or a bird from a breeder?

Carlshave if you can get a picture and post it here of it's back and chest I will show it to a friend who can help ID the bird for you.

I sent this off to a friend...hopefully they can help in the ID...do you have BB in your stock?
