BB tail feather?

Post by LuxandLolita » Wed Jul 04, 2012 7:01 pm

her feathers have been questionable before. Lolita is DEFINITELY split to BB with this one?
Turns out, Tahny may not be split but Lolita is for sure. she has two on the side that look exactly like one that was previously told to be a /bb feather. the new picture is a full barred feather.
Saw it this morning. cool looking! and the rest of her feathers are barred normal besides the two sides, one spot feather and this one.

I know the basic hour glass shape. I don't need a picture, i need someone to ID this for me. she has had /BB hourglass feathers before. i just want to make sure this is the same split.

That is not the split to BB marker. If she had hourglass feather before then we already ID 'd her split to BB.

Then what could it be? that is NOT a normal tail bar... i though maybe the distortion of being split may have caused this. which confuses me.

:^o Well if you know the BB shape when you would know that the feather you are looking at is not a BB feather .... That's why I gave you a pic [-X

Katie...you know the bird had the split to BB tail feather...she is split. I would not worry to much, she may have dropped the BB feather either in flight or molt. Zebras can have weird tail bars that don't indicate a split.
