I got a blue back male paired with a green back female and i was told to have green backs splits to blue only as offspring, but here is my question how i get a pastel blue? or dilute blue? in other words will offspring look exactly as a normal green back ?

online genetic forecasters aren't working for me, when i press on drop down menus nothing happens. :(

thanks

To get a SFYellow AKA "dilute" or "pastel" AKA SFYellowBlue you need a yellow gene which your pair doesn't have.
With the pair you have, you will get all Green split to Blue chicks that will be visually green in color.

To add to what Debbie has said, in addition to needing a yellow gene, pastels will also require purple breast. Without a purple breast a single factor yellow blue will appear silver.

IF.....the female is split to blue, paired w/a blue male you could also get blue offsprings.........and the green back offsprings would be split to blue. Am I right, Debbie??????
