It sounds like you have a Black Head, Purple Breast, Green body hen that's perfectly normal to me. You can not visually tell a split to Blue body gouldian.

Welcome to the Finch Forum!

The only way you can accurately tell if a bird is split to blue is if one of the parents (mother or father) was visually blue, or if you breed to a blue or split to blue bird and you get blue offspring.
It's worth a try -- you never know, you may have a nest full of blue babies!

If the mother was a blue back, then 100% this female (daughter) is split for blue, as well as any of her siblings. As long as one parent is visually blue back, all offspring will be split for blue.

I bought a pair and the breeder said there was a chance that they were split to blueback. They came from parents that were split to blueback and she said sometimes they will pass it on to the chicks and sometimes not. The only way to know if both of mine are split to blueback is to breed them and see if I get blueback babies. She said you could tell because blue chicks are grey and normal chicks are dark green. I hope I get a blue chick and I hope you do too. Good luck
