Hi,
I have a hen zebra that i always thought was a White, but recently i noticed that she has very light markings on her tail. They are the same pattern as a normal zeb only very very faint. She has no other markings at all, not even tear marks.
Does anybody know what she could be?
I cant get a picture of her at the moment as she's sitting on eggs and doesnt come out too often.
I appreciate any help. Thanks.

She is most likely a Chestnut Flanked White like most of mine.
Here is the best pic I could get for you of mine.
Yes I know she is bald I brought her home that way.
I hope this helps you find out what kind you have.

Thanks, She looks very similar to yours only she is whiter and her tail markings are lighter. I know when i bought her she came with her brother who is a lightback.

You are welcome I am glad I could help you.
She is real white it's just the pic that is making every thing darker.

I have a white female just like the one SamanthaL posted. She is a black cheek actually but she has the same tone of makings on her tail feathers. There is a picture of her in the gallery!!

BTW whitecharmer...love that avatar!!!

Well, I'm not too sure of the colour without seeing it but I do know that the fawn mutation cuases the breast color to change to a tan (fawn) color.

She finally let me take a picture of her but unfortunatly the tail markings dont show on the picture where they are so light.

All but one of her six babies has fleged now so i got some pics of them.
As far as i can tell, there is: 1 black cheek, 2 fawn pieds, 2 whites and the one that hasnt fledged yet. That one i dont have a clue what it is. It has pied markings on a grey body with what looks like grey cheek patches.
The dad is a pied black cheek.
