identification please, parents and chicks

Post by redbeak » Thu Dec 11, 2014 5:45 pm

Hello, Iam a new user and just went thru an ordeal with an aspirated chick who sadly did not survive.

This is the rest of the family, and iI am looking for some clarification on the exact mutation I have here.
The parents were sold to me as "Florida silvers", and I would expect them to have Florida Fancy chicks right....?
Dad has tail bars and much brighter orange cheeks than my camera showed...

The one chick that died looked like the lighter chick in the pics, but was a day older, my first-born(hatched) :(

Thanks for any thoughts.

Beautiful Birds! Your hen looks very light for a Florida Silver. I have some Isabel hens that look very similar. FS is highly variable so she could just be on the lighter end of the spectrum. Any updated pictures of the chicks? They should be much easier to ID feathered out.
