Tear marks can show up later. Had one with nothing and I was hopeful for some neat mutation. Moulted out to have normal tear mark...

Oooh. Lovely parents!
I love the look that dad's giving you in the top photo!
"Huh? You takin' photos again, hoomin?"

As Aspen mentioned, tearmarks can show up later. Though when they do, it's usually faint.
In fact, in that very last photo pair of the baby, in the one on the right she looks to have the faintest tearmark.

That baby is super lovely. I love her colorings.
Sometimes I wish they'd keep their baby looks! She'd be lovely just as she is right now!
I also love how the CFW chicks look with their black beaks.

To insert photos, you can upload them on your site.
Then, paste in the url and put img tags on either side.
They look like this: (hopefully they'll show up!)

I believe that would be possible.
Likely, in fact, as dominant silver fades all of the black markings. Lightback maintains the black.
I had a dominant silver who was so light that at quick glance, you'd think he was a she. I've also seen dominant silvers who aren't so obvious.

Dominant silvers also often have pale cheeks like your guy.

I have a finch that looks exactly like this photo of a light back. You have probably seen this but just in case you have not...
