Possible Outcomes

Post by AkashaEvenstar » Sun Mar 08, 2015 4:08 pm

I have a fawn OBBB cock and a plain fawn female (unless she's split to something like BF?). My genetics forecaster says that all offspring will visually be fawn but has the OBBB after the slash (because they're recessive.) Will those split traits not show up at all? Do any of you have pictures of offspring from a pairing like this?

Try fetching She has many fabulous mutations and I think she may even have this pairing. Her website is fabulousfinches.com.
Wait until you see these birds...oh they are gorgeous, she does a GREAT job!! I know she claims to not be great at the genetics (her science is studying other bird factors) but She is very intelligent and will help you however she can!!!

as you said , if the hen doesn't have any split mutation , all the babies will be fawn split to BBOB , they will show the split pattern(not fully visual) and it depends on the strength of the mutations you have .

you will get young that are fawn and fawns split to OBBB. BF is dominant and the bird is either BF visually or not, they can not be split to a dominant mutation.

pictures of your birds will help me see better if they are
