head colours

Post by kyle » Mon Mar 09, 2015 5:07 am

I have a pair of red head gouildians. If I were to get another unrelated pair do they have to be red headed as well in order to pair up the chicks? I guess what I'd like to know is should I keep the head colors the same when breeding?

They don't have to be the same head colot to pair them up. Though I have to say when given the choice mine almost always will pick the same head color for a mate.

Thanks debbie, thre is a local breeder selling a orange head male and black head hen pair. I wanted to be sure I could match up the offspring of my red head pair.
