Silver Gouldian - Head color question.

Post by gf3 » Thu Mar 12, 2015 3:04 pm

Hello All - Does anyone know if there is a way to visually tell the difference between red and yellow headed silver gouldians? The head colors and beak colors on my birds all appear the same. Statistically I should get 25% yellow headed birds. Both parents are split to yellow - I know this because the I have chicks from the same clutch with yellow tipped beaks. I know breeding out the birds will tell me, but it would help with deciding who to breed if there is a way. Thanks-- Gene
