CFW??

Okay so this is Celeste my 3 month old zebra hen who the lady presumed to be a CFW even though all her brothers and sisters were NG. Every single one and she had like 9-10 brothers and sisters from 2 clutches and she was the only all white. Does this make her a CFW or just a white hen? I mean is she split to NG since her brothers and sisters were NG. Her tailfeathers are white with the stripes fainted they are sorta blackish but the lady said they are creamy color but I might just be seeing things. All I know is they are fainted. And the top of her head is blackish like she hasn't had time to get full coloring in the second picture you can kinda see. She is only 3 mo. old could this be why? the lady told me it will go away and she will become full white like her sister in time. SORRY about the lighting she has a lamp literally right next to her cage for light and it shines on her. Inlovesorange I finally got a new hen what mutation you think she is???

delray what do you think of this sassy girl? She is very skittish I've noticed. I guess she is the lucky one out of the clutches. When I saw her for sale in my area as I have always wanted a CFW zebra or any mutation other than the NG I just had to have her! I was like MOM DAD, I have too.

She just is getting used to her new turf, she will not be so skittish once she adapts.

Thanks I still can't identify her as CFW or just normal white. delray is this what CFW's are supposed to look like?

I'm not very good at zebra genetics sorry. Im pretty good at society mutations though.

Societies&Zebras is hard to tell from the pics does she have the black "tear drops"? If so then i would say she's cfw. And females can't be 'split" for something only males can. So a female either is something or she isn't. But I'd say she's a cfw she looks like ones i in saw in a pet store that i wondered about cuz they had that same darkness on their head, but i think with age she'll lighten up, but some of the dark might stay. She is a real beaut! Just work with her and the skiddishness will get better, slow movements you know? Cuz you never know what she could have been through where you rescued her from! Just be patient, I'm sure she'll get better, especially if she's young!

Inlovesorange she has tear drops they just aren't dark they are there just faded out a bit. Like they are there just aren't full black. They are faded out tear marks.

Yes, she's a CFW.

The grey on her head may moult away or it may stay. My females all have a bit of grey on their heads, while my male has a pure white head.

If she was a white, she would not have tearmarks at all.
The whites are actually tough to find (at least in my area.)
I've never seen one for sale; only ever at shows and in a friend's flock.

She's very lovely! She looks like a Celeste.
