Re: ID plz!!
I need to know where you are located... not every country has the same mutations.
when you ask for zebra to be ID'd some mutations and splits can be identified by specific markers in the tail.... The CFW can either be a Regular CFW or Continental CFW.... difference is n the color of the back and tail
The BB... there are two markers for a split that shows n the tail, one marker for a full visual
the OB splits can often be identified by markers in the tail, chest and in hens the flanking.
Clear pictures will help.... and please provide your location

Re: ID plz!!
I know I always say it, but I love cindy.... you just amaze me!!
BTW ali.munir Beautiful birds. Looks like they are in an outdoor aviary? That's lovely, I wish I lived in a more stable climate so that my birds could get Real sunlight instead of "bulb sun" lol. But congrats on the new birds, they are lovely. And Cindy knows her stuff (as I'm sure you can see) So you are in good hands!!! Good luck with the new birds, and the clutches, I'm sure they will make beautiful lil birdlings!!!

Re: ID plz!!
Thankyou cindy your knowledge about finches is amazing, i wish i visit your country someday and meet you in person. I live in Lahore,Pakistan. Most of the birds are imported but now the imported stock has been breeding for 2/3 years.
@lnlovesorange thankyou, i am also in love with my birds and i wish i can take good care of them and breed some amazing colors .its a big cage ( 5*4 ft) and i have placed some potted plants in it, the birds love them.i am planning to build a much larger aviary sometime later next month.Yes we do get all the four season in a year but our summers are VERY HOT temprature climbing to 110F+.
cindy about the Pair 1
This is the male with his tail markings And this is the female Pair 2
Female Male From another angle About the hen that you have labeled as BB, here are is another pic of this hen can you confirm if its BB? She has mated with this male Can you predict the outcome??
Also can you plz suggest pairing for my pair 2, i want to extend and enhance the orange of the male in the offsprings.
Thanks a million. You guys are making this hobby a passion!!

Re: ID plz!!
the FS or silver Isabel depends on what you have in your country... they will give you the same results when combined with BB

Re: ID plz!!
that I would do is breed the silver with the BBOB and then take the best mark offspring.... while they are breeding pair your BF with your BB hen.... take the best marked offspring from the two pairs and match them up for the best results.... I can help you as you go!!
Ideally it is best to use a double factor FF or full Isabel with your BBOB.

Re: ID plz!!
see if you can find a FFOBBB or Isabel BBOB look for a tail like this. You can work with splits, it will take you a little longer but your best bet is working with a male and female that are not split. (Your offspring from the FS and BBOB are going to be split to OBBB.
see also if you can find a male like this it is BFBBOBFF
