New Zebras - Are they Normal Grays?

Post by Teresa » Thu May 07, 2015 10:39 am

I'm not sure about them. The male doesn't seem to have any bars on his tail and I think he's missing some of his feathers there. These are the best pictures I could get before the batteries in the camera died. I'll have to recharge them.

first one male normal gray split pied
second on hen normal gray

this is a visual ID they can carry split recessive genes that they are not showing visible markers for.

the first tail on the male is missing the to feathers likely were plucked out

the hen's tail looks normal no markers that are visible for split to recessive genes

Zebra, Gouldians, Java, CBM Shaft tail & Grasskeets

note: "the first tail on the male is missing the to feathers likely were plucked out" it is suppose to read... missing the top feathers.
